In Pursuit of Happiness

So many years have gone
worse & coarse ones
So many suns have set
Some lonely Some can join the rest
& Every time I prolong my hope
Nurturing my soul with milder thoughts
I cry at times & wonder the most
What good r tears & why's there a useless hope?
I promised myself a dry pillow
But that sad night lures my tears down
Along with I wish I did, I wish I didn't sound
The fact remains the present is my enemy
I declare war with every sun
& get conquered by its night
For this let it be known & spread
I was born a fighter but died helplessly at the end.

The Has Been Star

What is wrong with that?!

They wondered on my behalf

They haven't met you nor heard of the past away scar

The wonder should follow the long awaited glare

What was meant to be a breakthrough

Turned out to be a hopeless act to grasp the lost flare

What was so good turned out rotten & stale

When you lose your values, you should prepare yourself for pain

The thing is you are no longer there

Now you are like the shadow that follows the has been star

The shadow will never be a star & for the star to retwinkle is vain.

I Am She

For I am She who's weak
And I am She who's strong while trembling
I am She whose strength lies in her weakness
I am compassionate & I am cruel
I am pain & I am cure
I am She who lives mostly in her dreams
And outside She can't even breathe
I am incomprehensible & I am clear
I am She whom you can't hear
when She storms in fear
I am war & I am peace
I am vengeance & I am forgiveness
I have so many contradictions
I am everything in between
Except betrayal that's so mean
I am the breaking day beam shot up high
I am the night that breaks the well lit sky
I am contemporary & I am in memory
I am hope & I am hopeless
I live to cause a change & I am absolutely clueless
I am the happiest princess
Except there was no coronation
For I am She, the one you see
Walking by with a phony smile
Trying to hide the works of time
For I am She..The loss & the gain
Except there was no game

The Ballad Of Reading Gaol..My fav verses

He did not wear his scarlet coat,

For blood and wine are red,

And blood and wine were on his hands

When they found him with the dead,

The poor dead woman whom he loved,

And murdered in her bed.

I never saw a man who looked

With such a wistful eye

Upon that little tent of blue

Which prisoners call the sky,

And at every drifting cloud that went

With sails of silver by.

And strange it was to see him pass

With a step so light and gay,

And strange it was to see him look

So wistfully at the day,

And strange it was to think that he

Had such a debt to pay.

Yet each man kills the thing he loves

By each let this be heard,

Some do it with a bitter look,

Some with a flattering word,

The coward does it with a kiss,

The brave man with a sword!

Some kill their love when they are young,

And some when they are old;

Some strangle with the hands of Lust,

Some with the hands of Gold:

The kindest use a knife, because

The dead so soon grow cold.

Some love too little, some too long,

Some sell, and others buy;

Some do the deed with many tears,

And some without a sigh:

For each man kills the thing he loves,

Yet each man does not die.

The man in red who reads the Law

Gave him three weeks of life,

Three little weeks in which to heal

His soul of his soul's strife,

And cleanse from every blot of blood

The hand that held the knife.

And with tears of blood he cleansed the hand,

The hand that held the steel:

For only blood can wipe out blood,

And only tears can heal

Ah! happy day they whose hearts can break

And peace of pardon win!

How else may man make straight his plan

And cleanse his soul from Sin?

How else but through a broken heart

May God enter in?

Loss is No Disaster

The art of losing isn't hard to master;

so many things seem filled with the intent

to be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster

of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.

The art of losing isn't hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:

places, and names, and where it was you meant

to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or

next-to-last, of three loved houses went.

The art of losing isn't hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,

some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.

I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.

Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture

I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident

the art of losing's not too hard to master

though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

How could this happen to Sue?!

So it happened to Sue
So she'll do all it takes
She'll accept how it turned to be
She just won't run anywhere
Cos this is all she's worth
It can't get any worse
So it happened to Sue
Better wake up
Accept her life like this
So it happened to Sue
How bad could it get to be

in reference to "How could this happen to me?!" for "Simple plan".

Envading My Privacy

People, people..come on. Stop envading my privacy as if it's ur right!!
Stop putting me under ur magnifying glass, wondering how I'll lead my fight.
You say u do it for my own protection
Come on, I lived in this world with all its pretences
I've seen it all in my own perception

Don't hide the fact that you r just curious
Dying to know, when'll I lose patience?
when'll I surrender my flag and turn to u for explanations
You'll run to hold the flag for me, showing how u care for me
whilst your just thrilled to see my wounds get the best of me.
Cos this means u'll get to c much of the confused me
Giving u the right to envade my privacy

My confusion never last long, it ends with solutions
For my wondering thoughts that leads me to one conclusion:
People, people..come on. Stop envading my privacy as if it's ur right!!
Stop putting me under ur magnifying glass, wondering how I'll lead my fight.

They call me insensitive when I go back on my way
I get so frustrated I get so stern
me?!!insensitive?!!..It's a contradiction of term!!!
People, people..come on. Stop envading my privacy as if it's ur right!!
Stop putting me under ur magnifying glass, wondering how I'll lead my fight.

My own Island

I visit my island deep at night
When the sky is twinkling with light
Shining from the stars out of sight
Conquering shadows upon my window
Where I lie with thoughts in mind
My island awaits me every night
I calmly visit without a fright
There's nothing to disturb me
There's nothing to hide
There's no one there to anguish my peace of mind
I don't want to fall asleep and leave such a beautiful sight
I have to sleep, for another day to start
To fill my mind with daunting thoughts
Be brave till the night falls on
For there'll be your island waiting all along.
