Quoting Myself & Others

I used to write some quotes each day on my msn, & people used to get controversial over them. Some of my recent quotes:

- The challenge we meet daily is how to keep urself motivated.
- After a long thinking I decided If I want to b the change I want to c in this world, I have to reinvent the world!
- If u make a strong argument, it doesn't matter if ur argument is correct.
- I stopped believing in love long ago, I do believe in a bigger word, the "us" word.
- Everything given has an expiration date!
- My fortune cookie says: "Trust no one, Need none"
- I wake up to sleep & sleep to wake up..It's an ongoing dilemma
- For I am She, the one you see. Walking by with a phony smile, Trying to hide the works of time
- In the randomness we live in, surely a pattern shines through

Other quotes not my own creation:
- "When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened."
- "Each problem is an opportunity in hiding incognito"
- "u can't live a perfect day without doing smthg for someone who'll never b able to repay u",John Wooden
- "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.", Oscar Wilde
- "God's delays are not God's denials"

Missing Manners

Lots of manners are disappearing from our lives. We are actually degrading our expectations too. When u deal with someone u probably expect he'll be rude to u by default.

I will just mention one happening, while I was driving coming out to a cross road a "mashroo3" actually stopped to allow me to pass first...can u imagine!!!!! up till now i still can't believe it :)

I hope we can always keep our good manners no matter wht.

Xubuntos NS2 Set up Steps

It took me a while to have everything in order to start running NS2 specially that I'm a newbie in linux, so I'm sharing these steps:
- First Off I'm working on windows so I had to install VM Ware and Xubuntos http://register.vmware.com/content/eula.html just register and insall the xubuntos image from http://sing.stanford.edu/tinyos/dists/xubuntos-2.1-vm.tar.gz
- Extract the previous file and open with the VM player.
user: xubuntos passwor: tinyos
- To install ns, I preferred to install the allinone package from here.
- When I run ./install it gave me an error with Xgraph and tk: BeginBorder not found and many other lib related errors.
Solution: you need to download libX11-dev
- When I tried: sudo apt-get install libx11-dev, I got an error: us.ubuntu/security fiesty Error 404 not found
Solution: you need to update your settings.list to update the repository you get packages from.
Go to etc/apt/ take backup of the current settings.list and update from here.
After you save you need to go to ur terminal & run: sudo apt-get update
- Now retry to download: sudo apt-get install libx11-dev
- Retry to run ./install
- Now I got a different error related to nam, error can't find WinXUtil
Solution: you need to download libxmu-dev package
- Update you PATH variable as the installation will indicate
I used gedit(ofcourse I need to download it first):
Solution on you terminal: gedit ~/.bashrc
At the end of the file add the following:
PATH=$PATH:/urNsAllinonePath/bin:/urNsAllinonePath/tcl8.4.14/unix:/urNsAllinonePath/tk8.4.14/unix
export PATH

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/urNsAllinonePath/otcl-1.13:/urNsAllinonePath/lib
export TCL_LIBRARY=/urNsAllinonePath/tcl8.4.14/library

- Voila you are done..Happy Simulating!

Yes I came up with a joke :DDDD

ok it might sound silly as I state it but remember it's the first time I create a CS related joke..so here goes:(try to bare it)

How come when u r at a restaurant when a guy choke on his own food and smthg goes wrong, you always find someone shouting: Is there a doctor in the room?..
but when smthg goes wrong with the software system, no one shouts: Is there a software developer around?!we really need one, we r going to have a sales crisis!

P.S.:
It's a joke inspired from a real life story, it took place while I was at roastry's :)

A Copy Paste Developer Syndrome

It is so noticeable these days how most of our developing days turn into a copy/paste type of project. No original ideas come up we easily google up any problem we face. Instead of trying to come up with an original idea, & may b just may b this is the reason that makes most developers around here get their brains bored out.

which adds up to a very intriguing question..how come we don't have many startups around?
I guess it all goes down the road of us not appreciating initiatives as it should be.
Just wondering..

My Only Chance

It seems the only way I could really go on living is to take my heart out, cut that part that's been annoying me for so long & then put my heart back in & hope it would beat just the same!
